Types of Prayers

1Timothy2:1 Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men

THERE ARE ABOUT SEVEN TYPES OF PRAYERS
1.Supplications
2.Prayers
3.Intercessions
6.Speaking in tongues
5.Fasting
6.Thanksgiving
7.The Lord’s Prayer

SUPPLICATIONS
– These are prayers made to God, with a request; and we humbly pray (sometimes with cries and tears) for God to intervene. (Psalm 28:2)
PRAYERS – Generally, these are prayers that we offer to God from our hearts. We communicate with him in prayers and He with with us.
When we call upon His name and He will answer us. (Jeremiah 33:3, 29:12)
INTERCESSION: These are kind of prayers, which we pray on behalf of others, we stand in the gab for people or something. (Isaiah 59:16, Romans 8:34)
FASTING: These are kind of prayers, that require us not to eat and sometimes not even to drink water for some time. (Mathew 17:21, Mark 9:29)
SPEAKING IN TONGUES: These are kind of prayers, which we pray by speaking in other languages, which can be angelic or men’s tongue. In our weakness the Spirit enable us to speak in tongues (1 Corinthians 14:2, 14-18, Jude 1:20)
THANKSGIVING: These are kind of prayers, that are full of thanksgiving, praises and worship to God (Colossians 4:2, 1 Timothy2:1)
THE LORD’S PRAYER: In actual sense the Lords prayers is not a type of prayer, but rather its more of a model of how we ought to pray like. (Mathews 6:9-13 )

THE LORD’S PRAYERS EXPLAINED IN DETAILS
Mathews 6:9-13
9 In this manner, therefore, pray:
Our Father in heaven,
(Prayers are always to be addressed to the Father)
Hallowed be Your name.
(In prayers we need to sanctify and magnify His holy name)
10 Your kingdom come.
(As we pray we need to pray for the manifestation of His kingdom)
Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.
(Always we need seek His will – His will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven)
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
(Then we boldly ask for our daily bread, that is, the basic things we need for life)
12 And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors.
(As we pray it is important to forgive one another)
13 And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one.
(In prayers we need to ask God for grace to resist sin)
For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever.
(As you close in prayers, you need proclaim anything you know, that belongs to God forever and ever.)
Amen. (let it be)
